Quick start

  1. Install Java 25

    FeatherMC needs JDK 25. Check what you have:

    Terminal window
    java -version

  2. Download the jar

    Put the FeatherMC jar in an empty folder and name it server.jar.

  3. Start the jar

    Open a terminal in that folder and run:

    Terminal window
    java -jar server.jar

    The first start asks you to accept the Minecraft EULA in eula.txt. Do that, start it again, and you are done.

Look for a Done! message in the console. FeatherMC’s own options live in feather.yml in the server root, see the config reference.
